Product overview

Individually tailored solutions

The GÜNTHER Group manufactures temperature sensors precisely tailored to the needs of its customers and their specific applications. These are typically produced in small series, but in certain cases also as individual, custom-made units.
For the glass industry in particular, we also supply glass level probes and bubbler tubes.

To ensure smooth processes — both in the production of our sensors and in the provision of required spare or accessory parts for our customers — we maintain redundant supply chains and well-stocked warehouses at all GÜNTHER Group locations.

Standard thermocouples and resistance thermometers

The GÜNTHER standard temperature sensors are divided into two measurement methods:

Thermocouples are more robust, have a faster response time, and are suitable for higher temperatures, but they are less accurate.
Resistance thermometers are more accurate and offer better long-term stability, but they have a more limited temperature range.

Even though they are referred to as “standard sensors,” these too are manufactured precisely according to customer specifications for the respective application and installation location.

Explosion-proof sensors in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU

ATEX sensors from GÜNTHER are designed for temperature measurement in liquid, gaseous, and dusty media and comply with Directive 2014/34/EU.

We manufacture sensors with the following types of explosion protection:

  • Ex i (Intrinsic safety)
  • Ex d (Flameproof enclosure)
  • Ex e (Increased safety)
  • Ex ec/tc (Protection for areas with rare and short-term presence of explosive atmospheres)

Spare parts and accessories

Because sensors are often exposed to extreme conditions such as heat, pressure, or corrosion, targeted replacement of components is often more cost-effective than purchasing a completely new unit.

The most important individual and spare parts include:

  • Connectors
  • Connection heads and transmitters
  • Protective tubes
  • Cable glands and flanges

The GÜNTHER Group maintains extensive warehouses at multiple locations, enabling us to deliver most individual and spare parts on short notice.

Thermocouple, compensation, and copper wires

Thermocouple wires are made from the same materials as the corresponding thermocouple element. By connecting them at one end, they can be turned into thermocouples, as is often done in trailing measurements.

Compensation wires according to DIN 43722 are made from substitute materials that are not identical to the respective thermocouples but have the same thermoelectric properties.

Copper wires are used for connecting resistance thermometers.

All types of wires are available in large quantities from stock at GÜNTHER.

Glass level electrodes and bubbler tubes for the glass industry

Specifically for the glass industry, GÜNTHER manufactures not only sensors for temperature monitoring but also specialized glass level electrodes to monitor the level of molten glass in a melting tank. Depending on the measurement location, different designs with various measuring tips are used.

We also supply bubbler tubes for the fining zone of the molten glass. Here too, different designs and lengths are used depending on the installation position.
