Heat treatment
For decades, GÜNTHER Temperaturmesstechnik has been intensively tackling the challenges of temperature measurement in heat treatment, making it one of the leading German manufacturers of temperature sensors for heat treatment plants.
Temperature control is crucial in heat treatment processes such as hardening, tempering, annealing, or solution annealing, as it directly influences the resulting microstructure and, consequently, the mechanical properties.
In particular, the reliability of the temperature sensors used plays a decisive role in heat treatment.
For measurements in vacuum furnaces, we produce vacuum-tight thermocouples, whose design and operational properties are precisely tailored to the requirements of the specific furnace and the processes carried out within it. Upon request, our thermocouples can be supplied with a test port for easy and cost-effective execution of SAT measurements during ongoing operation.
In our in-house calibration laboratory, which meets the strict requirements of the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) and is accordingly accredited, we perform precise and traceable calibrations of temperature sensors. These DAkkS calibrations ensure the highest measurement reliability and international recognition of the measurement results for your entire measurement technology.

Especially in the heat treatment of components for the automotive or aerospace industry, compliance with AMS 2750 or CQI-9 is sometimes mandatory.
To verify the accuracy of the measurement system and the uniformity of temperature within the furnace, our on-site service performs both SAT (System Accuracy Test) and TUS (Temperature Uniformity Survey) measurements. More information can be found on our service page.
